Green Construction Techniques used on residential construction can also be applied on commercial buildings. Thermal image cameras can be used to find and seal air leaks which can result in cooler interior climates. Also, permeable concrete allows for rain to seep through the concrete and into a pit that retains water which then cools incoming air through passive coils. These types of techniques have been around since the 90’s for residential construction projects. With green construction expected to more than double by 2020, it is time to move this planet forward.
